Artist Bio

One of my favorite quotes is by Vincent Van Gogh, "I dream of painting and then I paint my dream."  This feels so true for me.  I have a great love of painting, drawing and crafting and I'm always thinking of my next project.

The core of my techniques were emphasized during my education at Tyler School of Art. Over the past 30 years however, I have sharpened my skills as a graphic designer working in an advertising agency but always maintaining my love of fine arts and crafting. I enjoy painting with acrylics for the rich, bold colors and texture and watercolors for their transparency.  I like to paint with brushes, sponges, palette knives and sometimes my finger tips!

Most of my paintings reflect my interest in nature including oceans, mountains, fields, flowers and some architecture. I enjoy taking lots of photos in and around Bucks County, the Jersey coastline and Key West which serve as my creative inspirations and which I am fortunate enough to visit throughout the year.

My paintings lie somewhere between realistic images and my interpretation of my surroundings in a somewhat impressionistic style.  My art is a reflection of my environment – what I see and how it makes me feel. I try to create work that evokes an emotion, resonates with others and makes the viewer as happy as it makes me.
